What does the developer want in return?

Planning permission to build around 2,000 houses on a greenfield site. (Canterbury City Council told by Government it must allocate more land for building houses than it originally planned)

Does the developer want the existing K&C site?

The developer has never expressed an interest in the original hospital site and this site will remain in the ownership of the NHS. The site is not part of any negotiations.

Would the new hospital be accessible?

There are proposals for access from the A2. This should prevent any additional traffic congestion in Canterbury. There is already emergency access from the A2 using the existing "police" slip road.
